    Position Summary

    We are currently looking for a highly competent Global Procurement & Sustainability Manager, as part of our Procurement Team, based in Panama or Malaysia, responsible for managing commercial, sourcing, and sustainability activities within the Cereals & Grains category used by Nestlé worldwide.

    Reporting directly to the Global Category Leaders in Cereals and Grains, you will be responsible for identifying, driving, and accelerating sustainability and net zero roadmap initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for contributing to the formation of the grains category procurement strategy and implement it on a regional & global level as required - utilizing strategic sourcing processes, tools and policies. You may also be assigned projects based on the business priorities ( compliance, e-auction).

    A day in a life of a Global Procurement & Sustainability Manager – Cereals & Grains:

  • Support the grains category on delivering decarbonization and sustainability targets.
  • Assist in climate project identification and implementation, while partnering with relevant stakeholders.
  • Identify decarbonization projects within our current supplier base in scope 1, 2 and 3.
  • Provide GHGE negotiation support to buying teams.
  • Process simplification and speedy deployment of GHGE reduction projects for Nestle.
  • Manage the relationship with various stakeholders to integrate business requirements with long-term strategic category plans and outcomes in line with budgets and operations planning.
  • Define and implement the category sourcing strategy, utilizing Strategic Sourcing processes, tools and policies.
  • Perform supply & demand risk analysis and develop Total Cost Ownership (TCO) models to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Negotiate contracts ensuring the most beneficial commercial agreements with suppliers in line with the strategy.
  • Lead the commercial relationship with strategic suppliers and ensure contract performance.
  • Ensure compliance with Nestlé's Corporate Business Principles, policies and standards.
  • What will make you successful

  • University degree in Sustainability, Procurement, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or similar field.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sustainability, sourcing – ideally within Grains or a commodities-focused category
  • Subject matter expertise in carbon management, ethics, and sustainability would be highly beneficial..
  • Experience in AMS, NA, Asian or European regions.
  • Successful track record in handling negotiations.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills - with the ability to influence and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders across a complex organization.
  • Demonstrated success in risk management, responsible sourcing and supplier relation management.
  • Knowledge of SAP is considered highly beneficial
  • Being highly structured and well organized
  • Fluency in English is a must, any other language, especially Spanish, Portuguese, or French would be an asset.
