The main objective of the position Urban NbS Analyst is to collaborate with the urban adaptation portfolio developing the following Products:

Report of the Global Covenants off Mayors (GCoM) workshop: including concept note and list of participants.

Establish and operate a Regional online Community of Practice to share results from all activities in the project, trainings and

knowledge exchange

A document containing the Pre-survey for the CoP: The objective of this survey will be to measure the knowledge base of the participants on the topics that will be discussed at the thematic tables of the CoP.

As well as the degree of interest of them and them in the different activities of the CoP.

One Nature4Cities Progress Report (IPR) for the first semester 2023, following GCF Readiness and Preparatory Support Programme's format.


Activity :

Design a Regional online Urban NBS platform, hosted in UNEP's platform REGATTA, to promote capacity building and knowledge sharing on NBS in urban areas based on outcomes from the different activities on the project with participation from other interested cities in the region in the web platform.

One Report of the new features of the web platform outline one tab per city of the project.


Output Knowledge products and training about the opportunities of NBS in urban areas disseminated to citizens and local governments through regional mechanisms.

One face-to-face consultation workshop report in Guatemala for the development of the Adaptation Fund proposal.

Partnerships established to foster development and dissemination of methods, frameworks, and information systems for enhanced climate finance programming at subnational, national, and regional levels.

Products No. 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and - Maintain effective communication with national counterparts for the implementation of the projects;

  • Organize and oversee the translation of project documentation, deliverables and reports between Spanish and English, as relevant;
  • Contribute to the Project Financial and Administrative Officer in preparing purchase orders, travel plans and other administrative tasks;
  • Develop legal agreements aimed to facilitate the project implementation (Project Cooperation Agreements-PCAs, Small-Scale Funding Agreements-SSFA, etc.), maintain an effective communication with partners and monitor the implementation of existing legal agreement;
  • Provide technical inputs to the deliverables from project team members, consultancy firms, local partners, etc.
  • Provide technical guidance to Projects Coordinators in the timely preparation and submission of project work plans, budgets, procurement plans, progress reports, etc;
  • Act as a liaison and promote dialogue between regional, national, and local stakeholders, ensuring key actors in the urban planning processes are involved in the projects' development;
  • Promote participation in global networks and initiatives, such as the Global Covenant of Mayors, the Race to Resilience, Friends of EbA, CDP, COP2, ICLEI, UICN, Audubon Society/Audubon America and related;
  • Supply technical meeting materials such as presentations, briefing notes, and summary reports for project meetings, workshops, etc;
  • Uphold, coordinate and share the knowledge management activities such as Communities of Practice, Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) and learning exchanges;
  • Collaborate with the website designer to develop the online portal on urban EbA;
  • Liaise with the main stakeholders to guarantee the sustainability of Nature4Cities in each of the municipali
