Job Description:

AECOM is seeking for an experienced PMO Technical Director/Managing Director for employment in Bogota, Colombia.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Reporting to the director of the PMO, he is responsible for all the technical activities of the Contract, coordinating the entire technical team.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to project teams and client, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Participate in developing and delivering training, educational and knowledge transfer programs, as part of the project delivery.
  • Create management, communication plans and processes.
  • Analyze and develop procedures for management and technical duties.
  • Participate in how budget and staff are allocated for the project.
  • Maintain project time frames, budget estimates and status reports.
  • Execute delivery process so that the distributed resources in different geographies can work as an effective, objective driven and collaborative global team.
  • Provide leadership and help foster a work culture that recognizes, supports individual differences in workstyles, personalities, cultures, and values to maximize team performance and effectively achieve team goals. Demonstrated ability in managing a global delivery model.
  • Leverage the existing digital tools or put in place new ones to ensure effective execution of the project.
  • Responsible for guiding the technical team to work together to focus on what is essential at the project level.
  • Integrate sustainable practices into project management processes where applicable.
  • Consider environmental and social impacts in decisionmaking.

Qualifications:


Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS in related engineering field + 10 YORE or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 2 years of leadership.
  • Specific experience of at least ten (10) years in management, technical direction, engineering managerial functions, either in Construction or maintenance of Metrotype mass transit rail systems, having intervened in such capacity in at least two (2) Metrotype underground railway works projects (at least one of them excavated with TBM), that together add up to at least ten (10) km of tunnels and at least eight (8) underground stations for Metros.
  • 5 years of experience in program management inclusive of at least two (2) in a Senior Leadership position ideally leading large Rail Infrastructure projects.
  • Strong Technical capability preferable including all project phases from design, planning, construction, operations, and maintenance preferably large program/projects.
  • Considerable experience of delivering in collaborative working arrangements.
  • Demonstrable experience of delivering large programs from the Technical Side as part of an integrated team.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant subway and railway standards applicable in industry guidelines and current transitoriented practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of experience
  • 3+ years in a Leadership role
