SUMMARY: Responsible for supervising the daily operation of inventory, warehousing functions, and the physical facilities of the warehouse.

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and organize warehouse personnel to meet daily requirements including activities related to receiving, labeling, loading, consolidation, and storage of cargo. Maintain inventory and handle audits of inventory.

Provide efficient and cost-effective shipping and receiving of customers' freight. Train and coordinate the activities of warehouse persons. Work closely with other departments to ensure that operational service offering meets customers' requirements.

EDUCATION: Associate degree in business/related field or a combination of post high school and equal experience may be substituted for education.

EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of warehouse supervisory experience, with emphasis in areas such as Logistics and Distribution Services. Knowledge of DOT regulations, hazardous materials customs' warehouse regulations and OSHA requirements. Cold storage warehouse experience is preferred.

TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY: Proficient in Microsoft Office products, including Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint. Interface with Common Carrier and software programs essential for warehouse operation. Knowledge of WMS Software Systems.

OTHER: Must have knowledge of temperature control commodities and dangerous cargo. Bilingual (Spanish/English) may be preferred. Must be able to bend, reach, lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. unassisted.

JOB SCOPE: Position impacts multiple business units/segments.

WORKING CONDITIONS: Works both inside an office environment and outside in conditions of both high and low temperatures. May be exposed to odors, dust, dirt, mechanical hazards, high noise levels and potentially dangerous equipment. Must be able to crouch and stoop to get into areas with restricted headroom and be able to climb ladders. May require extended use of computer keyboard and viewing of computer monitor and ability to sit for long periods of time.
