Position Name:
RAS & Maintenance Manager

Required Expertise:

Minimum 5 years in RAS facilities and plant maintenance field with at least 2 years in a supervisory position.

Experience and formal education in management of the repair of plumbing systems, pumps, generators, electrical systems, vehicles, light hydraulics (forklifts and pallet jacks) and general carpentry.

Must have good communication skills and computer skills (particularly MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Exceptional mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, and work ethic. Must be both self
- starting and highly responsive to requests for assistance from coworkers and assignments by management.


Desired Expertise:
Aquaculture experience in a RAS maintenance role. Experience
managing a facility or plant maintenance department. Expert plumbing, electrical, carpentry and/or fabrication.


Description:
The RAS and Maintenance Manager oversees the maintenance team and reports directly to the Hatchery Manager. They are responsible for the proper functioning of all equipment, machinery and infrastructure of the Hatchery.

This role requires constant communication with upper management, Hatchery Manager, Hatchery Area Managers, and relevant technicians to coordinate and schedule system and equipment downtime.

Supervises Maintenance Technicians in routine maintenance and repair of hatchery
production and support systems.


Responsibilities:


  • Ensure proper functioning of all hatchery systems
  • Ensure that all hatchery facilities and work spaces are kept clean, orderly, safe, and efficient
  • Propose and/or execute innovative projects or technology upgrades, as required and approved by the operating company and Forever Oceans
  • Develop and execute routine maintenance schedule for all hatchery infrastructure, equipment and machinery
  • Electrical system diagnosis, repair and maintenance
  • Develop maintenance staff schedule and assign nonroutine tasks to technicians as required
  • Ensure all equipment is kept up according to maintenance and production schedules
  • Ensure the adequate supply of materials, equipment, infrastructure and any other equipment necessary for the proper functioning of all Hatchery, including hot spare for critical components
  • Manage Maintenance Team tasking from other departments and balance with
necessary routine tasks
