  • The main objective of the Climate Change Information Analyst is to conduct research of documents containing information about climate change in Honduras, especially those relevant to adaptation. They will need to design a protocol for standardizing the documents and establish the criteria for their inclusion in the platform developed by NAP Honduras. Additionally, they will need to develop a matrix database with the classification of the documents or collected information, which will serve as a reference for the virtual website developed by NAP Honduras.
The consultant will be responsible for the execution of the following activities:
a) Collaborate in the preparation of a work plan, schedule, and methodology for the established deliverables, including an approach for the socialization and validation process.

b) Participate in the development of a document outlining stages, formats for construction, socialization, and validation of the process (workshops, bilateral meetings, technical consultations, expert group meetings, official platforms).

c) Collaborate in the development of roadmaps for the formulation of policies and strategies related to sectors involved in climate change adaptation processes. d) Collaborate in the implementing actions aimed at involving the private sector in climate change adaptation. e) Handle the preparation of annual reports for the donor and other reports requested by the donor and counterparts. f) Develop climate change information and data protocols in the country. g) Collaborate in organizing the annual participatory meetings with relevant stakeholders to present the state of the National Adaptation Plan, NDC adaptation measures, and progress towards the country's established goals. h) Conduct data analysis and prepare annual progress reports through the implementation of the National Adaptation Plan. i) Conduct comprehensive research on data obtained from tangible or digital records to be incorporated into the Biblioclima platform. j) Handle the collection of lessons learned from adaptation projects and programs implemented in the country that can contribute to the Biblioclima platform. k) Analyze the collected data and build a matrix that serves as a fundamental structure for categorizing the compiled information or documents. l) Provide technical inputs on a comprehensive report describing the allocation of donors involved in adaptation initiatives in Honduras. m) Develop a detailed report evaluating the effectiveness of donor investments in adaptation initiatives within the context of Honduras. n) Conduct in-depth data analysis and prepare annual reports showcasing progress achieved through the implementation of the National Adaptation Plan, using this knowledge to inform decision-making processes. o) Conduct data collection at regional workshops for the development of training/knowledge management workshops targeting individuals working on climate change. p) Handle and categorize documents and/or communication materials developed and implemented through the information, education, and communication program to reach national and local actors and institutions on matters related to climate change adaptation. q) Contribute to the coordination and development of awareness-raising workshops for stakeholders on the importance of climate change adaptation planning and implementation, with a focus on sectors prioritized in the Nationally Determined Contributions and the National Adaptation Plan, as well as platforms established in the climate change law
