As part of Grainger's vision to become a global leader in product information and the most trusted site in B2B distribution, robust product master data governance is critical to ensuring consistently high data quality that creates strong customer and supplier confidence.

As stewards of product information quality, Grainger's governance team will drive our accountability around data accuracy. Effectively governing data accuracy requires sampling and inspection of product information values gathered from supplier sources.

In this role, the Audit Specialist will support product information governance by performing this inspection - reviewing product data to validate information is gathered from only provenanced sources, accurately captured from the source, and appropriately documented.


  • Retrieve product information from supplier sources and validate values were gathered and captured exactly as they appear in source.
  • Confirm sources used during gather are acceptable based on product information criteria for provenanced sources.
  • Document findings to standards outlined by audit process.
  • Audit sample sizes and execute processes as determined by PI Governance.

and at local branches. Approximately 5,000 suppliers provide Grainger with more than 1.6 million products stocked in Grainger's


Requisitos:

BA/BS or equivalent experiences preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - Outlook, Power Point, Excel and Access (Front-End User).
Demonstrated research skills (web search, documents, etc,); search for credible information that can be analyzed.
Proven experience and excellence in attention to detais, finding and documenting the slightest variations.
Data Enthusiast - experience with reviewing large sets of data.
Deadline-oriented, proven organizational skills and ability to operate with a clear sense of importance.
Strong data mining skills - finding anomalies, patterns, and correlations within large data sets.
Good analytical and problem-solving skills
Results - oriented - curious about the work and how it's done to get superior results.
Familiarity with category review, new product introduction, and other merchandising processes preferred.
Working knowledge of business objectives including merchandising strategy, product information, and supplier management.
Bilingual (English/Spanish
