Marine Power, Project Services, Project Management, is seeking a targetdriven, energetic and selfdriven Project Manager to lead a project team and to manage customer delivery projects. We provide Wärtsilä Marine customers with life cycle support services related to fuel conversions, modernizations and upgrades. The project management teams operate in an environment which requires collaboration with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, in order to serve a global variety of customers. Lean organization and direct responsibility towards the end customer requires the individuals to have a high level of commitment to the team and to take ownership of their own work.
In this position you have a total responsibility of projects within the Project Services. Also, you will lead and coach the project teams. Project Manager will be the first point of contact for the customer, after project transfer from the Sales department.
The product portfolio consists of e.g. engines, engines auxiliaries, environmental products and E&A. The projects are single or multi product line products related to upgrades, modifications, conversions, repairs, and maintenance on both Wärtsilä and other OEM equipment. Project Manager also participates in the Sales process and is a vital link in customer communication and relationships.
The working environment is very international. Projects, production locations, Wärtsilä offices, customers and suppliers can be found all over the world. Many different nationalities, languages and cultures are involved. _

Location Open:
Panama City, Panama, Buenos Aires, Argentina and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
What will you be doing?

Creation, development and definition of project plan including budget, work division, time schedule and resourcing
Managing projects in compliance with Wärtsilä Project Management Methodology and Business Directives
Leading project organization
Monitor, control and report quality, delivery time, cost and scope in the projects
Maintaining and improving the customer relationship

You will shine in this role when you have:

Technical background: MSc or BSc in Engineering. Preferred specialization in Naval architecture, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Proven recent experience from marine industry
Willingness to actively develop own and others skills within the project management knowledge areas as well as system integration area.
Ability to work under pressure
Problem solving, decision making and "making things happen approach"
Being forward thinking and goal focused
Fluent written and spoken English
Fluent written and spoken Spanish
Proficiency in Portuguese is a plus
Over 5 years of Project Management experience or similar experience in leading a team or sub

- project in direct customer interface

Avalability to travel
SAP, MS Project and Project Cockpit working experience is an advantage.
