The Role:


The Director of Rental Services, Heavy Rents & Used LATAM Region (internally titled Regional Rental Manager) will lead a team to ensure growth in terms profitable rental revenue, growth of Percent of Rental Revenue Opportunity (PRRO) and support Cat dealer fleet planning and operational excellence.

In addition, collaboration with the rental leadership and the industry sales teams is critical to the success of the incumbent.

This role reports to the Vice President of Rental & Used Equipment and is responsible for leading a team of 5 to 8 Rental Services Reps and National Account Managers along with budget responsibility for the group.


Responsibilities Include:


  • Providing the rental operational expertise, direct sales function, and financial acumen to the dealer network. The primary functions of this group are delivery of rental expertise, dealer rental execution support and commercial support to our dealers. Responsibility for implementation of gotomarket strategies puts this role directly as the lead in achieving profitable rental revenue growth targets.
  • Growing the Percent of Rental Revenue captured in the area of responsibility by achieving a high level of customer satisfaction and sustainable profit levels thereby ensuring Caterpillar's leadership position.
  • Achieving the units sold business plan and driving services growth including but not limited to work tools. They are responsible for sales execution and working with product groups on sales variance management.
  • Providing leadership for the execution team as well as to other groups within the rental and used organization as well as for leaders in partnering groups within Caterpillar.
  • Providing rental market awareness to the enterprise as the direct interface with dealers. In addition to forecasts, customer trends and dealer financial performance are examples of relevant information to the rest of the enterprise.

  • The employee is also responsible for performing other job duties as assigned by Caterpillar management from time to time.

Basic Qualifications:


Education:
College or university degree


Experience:

  • 5 years of progressive rental, sales execution, and marketing experience. Prior supervisory experience

Knowledge:

An engineering degree or equivalent experience in various manufacturing assignments both staff and supervisor, is necessary to support the shop operations.


Language:
A
dvanced English and Spanish
