As a Bachelor Electrical Engineer, I have been working on mining industry since 2010 growing technically, professionally, and personally. Along this journey I have learned to always keep the focus on people, understanding no result is achievable without trained and motivated personnel. As a result of my training motivation, I started a new path as a Training Superintendent that now I continue as Coaching Coordinator in Africa.

February 2024 – Present 

Position: TECHNICAL COACH COORDINATOR.

First Quantum Minerals Ltd. is a mining company producing mainly copper, gold, nickel, and zinc. One of the operations is the an open-pit copper mine: “Sentinel” in Zambia. Key assignments: - - - Assembly a team of coaches to upskill technical personnel with an on the job program for all different maintenance departments in Mining Maintenance. Active communication with stakeholders to align coaching with the needs and gaps of the different departments in terms of training, quality and safety. Coordinate with the Training Department the training needs of the different departments.

Position: TRAINING SUPERINTENDENT. 

Company: FIRST QUANTUM MINERALS - PANAMÁ 

First Quantum Minerals Ltd. is a mining company producing mainly copper, gold, nickel, and zinc. One of the operations is the an open-pit copper mine: “Cobre Panama” in Panama. Key assignments: - - - - Lead the strategic development and implementation of the Mine Operations and Mine Fleet Maintenance Training framework for Cobre Panama. Design the annual training plan in consultation with key stakeholders and in alignment with the budget cycle and other defined milestones. Establish and maintain links with stakeholders – Cobre Panama Operations Managers, schools, training providers, Government departments, peak organizations, and other relevant networks - to identify skill shortage areas, possible career and transition programs and appropriate vocational and training opportunities. Prepare training budget for the Mine Operations, Mine Tech and maintenance
