Mechanical Superintendent for the main contractor POSCO E&C for the installation, tests, commissioning and startup of the mechanical systems (piping and equipment) for the Costa Norte LNG Power Plant Expansion Project, managed by AES Panamá.
Key Accomplishments and Responsibilities
- Supervision and leadership of the installation, test, Cx and startup of the HVAC systems
- Supervision of the installation, tests, Cx and integration of the Fire-fighting piping and systems in the LNG Expansion project
- Provided support and guidance to the sub-contractor for Fire-fighting systems to expedite and ease its entrance, set up and starting of the works in the LNG Expansion Project
- Provide guidance and mentorship to subcontractors for preparing more accurate Permit to Work and Risk Assessment and conduct the review of them, to ensure compliance with the owner´s strict EHS regulations
- Supervision of the installation and tests of the different types of natural gas piping (LNG, NG, DR, Nitrogen, pneumatic), related valves and pipe supports along different pipe racks
- Supervision of installation of 30ton/5ton over head cranes 
- Supervision of installation of enclosure metal cladding for compressor and pump buidings

Provided and exercise expert guidance, leadership and supervision for contractor´s work to deliver several infrastructure projects involving site development and building construction, being involved in up to 12 major projects with different contractors. Leaded inspection efforts, field and factory testing, commissioning, start up, and final acceptance. Oversaw mechanical, electrical, and plumbing works for over 50 buildings, such as offices, pump stations, dormitories, support services, workshops, warehouses, laboratories, and security forces. Specialized in E&M systems, including aboveground steel water storage tanks, HVAC&R, potable-fire-process and irrigation water pump stations; sanitary and industrial water pump stations. Fire suppression and extinguishing, elevators, overhead traveling cranes, fuel stations, DDC, BMS, SCADA, underground potable-fire, irrigation, sewer, industrial waste and storm water network; kitchen and workshop equipment, sewer and industrial waste water lift stations, laboratory and medical gases. Reviewed of design packages for projects including Pump and Fire Stations, also, in the review and evaluation of the contents of bidder´s packages
